Acinetobacter baumannii

We have sequence data from 7 isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii, 5 isolates are from septicemic patients (blood specimen) while 2 are from another specimen (ETT). All the isolates are either pan drug resistant or resistant to tigecycline/carbapenems/colistin/extended spectrum beta lactamases. For 3 out of 7 isolates we have high quality genome assemblies (Illumina + ONT) while the rest are Illumina only. 6 out of 7 are from Western region of India while remaining one is from Northern region.

Please find below the list of antibiotic resistance genes that were found in more than half of the sequenced clones. Prevalence shows the percentage of clones which harbored this gene. The list has gene variants like msrE, mphE, OXA-23, tet which are commonly cited in the literature. We also found commonly known genes such as tet (tet(B)), OXA (OXA-23, OXA-66), sul (sul1 and sul2). It is important to note that the RND efflux pump (adeFGH, adeIJK,) which are known to confer multidrug resistance are found in all isolates
