We have sequence data from 27 isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae. 20 isolates are from septicemic patients
(blood specimen) while 7 are from other specimens (urine, ETT, BAL). All the isolates are either pan drug
resistant or resistant to tigecycline/carbapenems/colistin/extended spectrum beta lactamases. For 11 out of 27
isolates we have high quality genome assemblies (Illumina + ONT) while the rest are Illumina only. 17 out of
27 are from Western region of India while remaining 10 are from Northern region.
Please find below the list of antibiotic resistance genes that were found in more than half of the sequenced
clones. Prevalence shows the percentage of clones which harbored this gene. The list has gene variants like
NDM-1, sul-1 which are commonly cited in the literature. We also found commonly known genes such as OXA,
TEM and SHV. But it is important to note that only specific variants such as OXA-232, TEM-1 and SHV-11 are
prevalent while other variants occur at very low frequency.
