Pseudomonas aeruginosa

We have sequence data from 5 isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 3 isolates are from urine samples, 1 from blood and body fluid samples each. All the isolates are either resistant to carbapenems/extended spectrum beta lactamases. All the 5 assemblies are from Illumina reads only. 4 out of 5 are from Western region of India while remaining one is from Northern region.

Please find below the list of antibiotic resistance genes that were found in more than half of the sequenced clones. Prevalence shows the percentage of clones which harbored this gene. The list has gene variants like NDM-1, ACC(6’) and a variant of ARR which are commonly cited in the literature. It is important to note that the RND efflux pumps formed by the mex family genes (mexPQ-opmE, mexNM-OprM, mexGH-OpmD, mexVW- OprM) and the genes that regulate/mediate their function ParRS, were found in all the isolates.
