A great brainstorming workshop, organized by The Trinity Challenge and the One Health Trust, on Community access to effective antibiotics and #AMR mitigation and upcoming #TrinityChallenge, Feb 20, 2025.
APSI-India, #Bangalore team participated in the day-long workshop, getting hands-on training and exposure to problem solving, collective team efforts in strategically devising approaches for community access of antibiotics, aspects of zoonotic diseases, infection control and prevention, AMR policy and surveillance methods.

Experts from diverse fields engaged in discussions on improving access to effective antibiotics; preventing antimicrobial resistance and ensuring the availability of quality medicines. Key topics included antibiotic use in animals; sustainable access to antibiotics, and the challenges posed by substandard and falsified drugs. Participants also explored the drivers behind these problems, strategies for identification, and potential solutions.
Dr. Ramanan Laxminarayan from One Health Trust shared insights from The Lancet Group series on access to effective antibiotics. Professor Marc Mendelson, Director of The Trinity Challenge, introduced the core objectives of the challenge and outlined its vision during the workshop.
The Trinity Challenge initiative aims to drive innovative solutions to predict, detect, and respond to global health challenges and ensure sustainable and equitable access to effective antibiotics worldwide.
