Our Vision

Environmental surveillance has gained enormous significance in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and APSI-India envisions it as the way forward for monitoring infectious pathogens and preventing future pandemics. We believe that comprehensive monitoring of pathogens in strategic city locations is a key step in disease control and elimination strategies. We aim to develop, validate and deploy highly advanced indigenized technologies at affordable costs. Our ultimate goal is to generate high-quality, data-driven surveillance tools that can be readily handed over to relevant agencies for large-scale implementation, contributing to robust and proactive public health systems in the country. APSI’s key objectives are highlighted below alongside our network chart.
